SYDNEY: NEC has today announced the release of its first full HD plasma TV. The 50-inch model extends NEC’s panel offering into the realms of full high definition and complements the brand’s existing plasma and LCD offerings.

The new panel utilises the latest panel generated from Japanese technology to create images that are “vividly clear”. The new panel has 1920 x 1080 progressive scanning and a 100hz refresh rate. For NEC, this ensures that picture quality is delivered with extreme precision.

Features include multiple HDMI inputs, noise reduction, parental guidance, electronic program guide and an integrated HD tuner to enable access to high definition channels

The new NEC full HD plasma (PXT50FHDP1) is available now for RRP $3,499.
