BeefEater has today announced the limited release of barbeques designed especially for football fans. Consumers who purchase the new Supporter Series can choose to customise the barbeque with the colours of their favourite team.

According to research commissioned by BeefEater, 43 per cent of Australians say a barbecue is the best food to eat while watching the football. Additionally, 40 per cent of respondents said they are planning a barbecue for the AFL Grand Final, while 28 per cent said they were looking to get the burners going for the NRL Grand Final.

BeefEater are hoping that this connection between barbecuing and football flows into sales, as fans look to show off their support while preparing a meal. It’s not such a big step, with fans already able to buy USB drives, key rings, underwear and clocks with their team’s branding.

Talking about this new promotion is BeefEater Barbecues founder Peter Woodland.

“Australians are increasingly interested in building and designing outdoor living spaces that reflect their personal style rather than a boring or bland backyard,” said Woodland. “More people are treating their outdoor living area like an extension of their home and they want the space to make a more personal statement.”

The BeefEater Supporter Series (RRP $2,999) is a 4-burner BBQ featuring a porcelain enamel roasting hood, galvanized cabinet trolley, cast iron burners, stainless vaporizers, rust-free porcelain-coated cast iron cook tops, quartz-start ignition, and warming rack.
