MELBOURNE: Glen Dimplex Australia announced it is now the official distributor of all Dimplex heating and portable cooling products, taking full responsibility for all sales, service and warranty from previous distributor, Hagemeyer, as of 1 September.
Glen Dimplex is a privately owned group and the world’s largest electrical heating business with a significant presence in domestic appliance markets as well. The company has over a turnover of 1.5 billion Euro and 10,000 employees internationally.
The Australian subsidiary of the company, which also distributes Siemens panel heaters, Stoves & Belling cooking products and Masport & Logaire solid fuel fires, is based in Melbourne.
Glen Dimplex has released a new portable cooling range for the 2008/2009 Summer season. The comprehensive range comprises European designed portable air conditioners as well as tower fans, desk fans, box fans, floor fans, pedestal fans and evaporative coolers.
To support the new business, Glen Dimplex Australia has expanded its infrastructure. The company has added warehousing facilities in Brisbane, Perth, Sydney and Melbourne, as well as new staff across sales, marketing, customer care and technical service functions.
“We can reassure our retail partners that they will continue to be provided with 100 per cent support and can continue selling Dimplex branded products with confidence throughout 2008 and beyond,” said Glen Dimplex Australia national sales manager, Nick Detsirapis.
