Tonight’s the big night for Crest Electronics, an Australian supplier of appliance accessories, as the north Brisbane-based team go for gold at the 2008 Queensland Telstra Business Awards.

Crest Electronics is in the running tonight for the Panasonic Australia Medium Business Award, which recognises companies with between 21 and 200 employees. The company, which was started by a German immigrant in 1977, is up against competition tonight from Centor Architectural, Di Bella Coffee, Prowler Proof, Regional Nursing Solutions and Shine Lawyers.

The winner of this and other awards will be presented at the Sofitel Brisbane at a gala event hosted by television personality Anne Fullwood. Crest has some experience with these awards nights, having won a Telstra Business Award back in 2002. The big difference is that the company was then competing as a small business.

Talking about this nomination is Crest Electronics managing director Greg Randle.

“Being recognised as a state finalist in these awards is extremely pleasing and a reflection of our teams consistent effort to improve and deliver a quality service to all our trading partners,” said Randle. “The process has allowed us to be assessed independently against a broad range of businesses across variety of criteria and regardless of the result tonight, we are very pleased to know that we are clearly on the right track”.

Crest Electronics is Australia’s leading supplier of Philips and Sony electronic appliance accessories. Amongst its product range are universal remote controls, head- and earphones, and connectivity solutions.
