SYDNEY: PR firm Text100 will this Thursday (21 August) host Christmas in August, an exhibition for media representatives marketed as a one-stop shop to the “hottest consumer electronic products for Christmas”.

Now in its second year, the event will bring together approximately 100 journalists and 12 major vendors in a relaxed environment at The State Theatre’s Statement Lounge from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.

“The media in Sydney has to go to every single vendor to put their Christmas gift guides to bed by August. So the concept behind the event was to make life easier for them by brining as many vendors into one room so they can see all the Christmas gifts in one easy package,” said Text100 director of digital lifestyle and new media,” Antonia Christie.

“It’s like a mini-trade show for media done in a very relaxed and informal, friendly way.”

The event is free for journalists and includes complementary alcoholic beverages and food. Raffles will also be held with prizes including Bluetooth headsets, software, digital cameras and hard drives, among others.

This year’s exhibitors are Adobe, Electrolux, Dyson, Absolute Audio Vison, Plantronics, Sennheiser, Lenovo, ME, Nikon, Maxwell, Mitsubishi Electric and Olympus.
