SYDNEY: Remington has launched what it says is the World’s first curved hair cutting system. Shaped like a hair brush, the Remington Professional Short Cut Hair Clipper (SSC – 100, RRP $73.95) is designed to follow the curvature of the head and make hair cutting as easy as brushing.

“Remington is the dominant market leader in grooming products, including hair cut kits,” said Remington’s marketing manager Australasia, Mark Christos.

“This Father’ Day Remington is proud to release a World first in the unique Short Cut Clipper — it is the World’s first curved cutting system for even hair cuts. With a patent pending, this unique product ensures fast, even, precise hair cuts, every time.”

Remington has launched a micro site to promote the new clipper at www.remingtonshortcut.com.

The product will also be supported with a variety of point of sale material including shelf wobblers and see-through packaging showing the product in the box.

Features of the product include bi-directional cutting so it can cut hair with forward or backward passes over the head. The adjustable guide comb has five settings for various desired hair lengths and it has a trimmer for detailed styling and a ‘Designer Short Cut Comb’ for ultra short haircuts.

The unit is also washable and cordless with up to 40 minutes usage from a 16 hour charge.
