Samsung has announced the appointment of three new members to its marketing team.  Included in these appointments is Paul Lipscomb’s replacement. Lipscomb left Samsung to become senior product and marketing manager at Navigation Solutions, supplier of the Navigon GPS systems.

The new marketers will respectively cover air conditioning, cleaning products and cooking products.

The new air conditioning product manager is Steve Debono, who joins Samsung from Panasales, where he worked as NSW state manager. According to Samsung, Debono has been appointed to “strengthen Samsung’s growing presence in the air conditioning market”.

Kalina Murgovski has joined Samsung from McPherson’s Consumer Products, and is the new cleaning product manager in the white goods marketing team. In this position, Murgovski’s focus will be on vacuum cleaners and washing machines.

The third appointment is that of Kathy Sudnik to cookware product manager. Over the last four years, Sudnik has worked as Samsung dealer support manager, specializing in the white goods division. Sudnik’s focus in her new role will be on two of Samsung’s newest categories: microwaves and cooking appliances.

“The broadening of the White Goods Marketing team demonstrates Samsung’s confidence in its White Goods products and growing presence in the market,” said Samsung Electronics Australia’s head of marketing  consumer electronics, Mark Leathan. “We welcome Steve, Kalina and Kathy to the team and are excited about the fresh thinking they will bring to the team."

In their new roles, Debono, Murgovski and Sudnik will report to Mike Lilly, who was recently promoted to the white goods group senior product manager position.
