SYDNEY: Oven manufacturer Blanco has announced a sponsorship agreement with the National Breast Cancer Foundation of Australia. This sponsorship deal comes as widespread interest into breast cancer research is at an all-time high in Australia.

The sponsorship deal focuses on the Platinum range of Blanco ovens, with the supplier pledging a direct contribution to the Foundation for every Platinum range oven sold. The agreement is underpinned by a base guaranteed donation of $50,000 per year.

Speaking about the Blanco ethos and the sponsorship deal is national marketing manager, Nicholas Cook. “Everything about the Blanco experience is focused on making life easier, through our products, services, heritage and values. The sponsorship is another way of delivering on this belief for a section of the community who also form the bulk of our customers,” said Cook.

Breast cancer research and prevention dominated news bulletins and the general media after the death of Jane McGrath on 22 June 2008.
