SYDNEY: Philips has recently bolstered its marketing team at Housewares International (HWI) with the appointment of two new product managers and a marketing assistant.

Athena Kalos has joined the Philips team as the product manager for domestic appliances (kitchen, garment care and floor care). Kalos has previously worked in product management for 10 years, at companies including Heinz, Kellogs, I&G Foods. More recently, Kalos has worked in the marketing and advertising departments for Toyota and Selleys.

The new product manager for Philips shaving and beauty is Daniel Kelman. In this role, Kelman will look after men’s shavers and grooming, female depilation and all TRESemme products.

Lastly, Samantha Ferguson has been appointed to a newly created role. Now the Philips marketing assistant, Ferguson has two years experience as a marketing coordinator at Oporto Franchising. Prior to this, Ferguson graduated from the APM Training Institute in North Sydney with an advanced diploma in business and marketing.

These new appointments come as Philips re-enters the home appliance category with their new Aluminum and Pure Essential ranges of products.
