The Age is today reporting that a Harvey Norman store in Melbourne was still offering “draconian” AWAs more than a month after they were made illegal.

Under this AWA, the employee stood to earn $146.49 less than the award each week, or over $7,600 per year. This agreement was valued at around $15 an hour and did include stipends for overtime or penalties.

The Age story continues to report that Harvey Norman’s Sydney head office referred the matter to the store itself, saying that employment paperwork was handled individually by each store.

Current.com.au contacted Harvey Norman for comment but did not receive a response.
