SYDNEY: Fisher & Paykel has confirmed it is expecting close to one thousand people at its Izona cooking product launch on 31 July, with a special reveal hinted at as well.

A Fisher & Paykel spokesperson said the company was expecting at least 800 people at the launch, due to take place on 31 July at Australian Technology Park in Sydney.

The launch will draw together various apartment and housing specifiers, designers and architects, as well as industry and mainstream media.

Fisher & Paykel’s head of global design, Mark Elmore, will speak at the event to discuss the new range’s design points.

The spokesperson said the event would also contain “a very special reveal”, but said they could not give further details.

While the initial launch will focus primarily on New South Wales, with Victoria catered for when the show moves to Melbourne.

“It’s primarily NSW-wide, and then we go and replicate all this again, on a slightly smaller degree, at Saturday in Design [design show in Melbourne],” said the spokesperson.

While the range was shown at DesignEx in April, the launch event will be the official jump-off point for retailers and specifiers, with all devices to hit shelves before the end of September or so, starting with the CoolDrawer.
