BANKSTOWN: As part of its promotion to give away a Proton Savvy car, valued at $15,990, Allan’s Electrics in Bankstown, NSW, will tonight officially draw the car winner and offer a cost plus $10 sale for everything in store.

The event starts at 6 pm at Allan’s Electrics, shop 24, 173 Canterbury Road Bankstown. The cost plus $10 sales runs for two hours, concluding at 8 pm — it was advertised in the local Bankstown Torch newspaper.

Canterbury Bulldogs rugby leaguer players Hazem El Masri and Daniel Holsworth will conduct the draw. The MC for the evening will be former Haier marketing manager, Tony Gersback

“The promotion was supported by five companies: Electrolux, LG Mitsubishi NEC and Daewoo,” said store owner, Allan Drane.

“Since the promotion commenced in January, any purchase of one of those brands, whether it was a $50 item or a $5,000 item, got a ticket into the draw.

“Tonight we’re drawing out 50 people who will then have the chance to pick a key and one of those 50 keys will open the car door.”

Drane said that the promotion had increased his store’s traffic flow and gave better margins.

“We thought that seeing it was a big night, we’re also offering a cost plus $10 buy night which is a super special for everybody,” he said.

“They get a second chance at getting a good purchase price.”
