ELIZABETH, SA: After a five year spell, the Rentlo name will once again trade in SA. The company which owns Rentlo trades in every state and territory in Australia as Radio Rentals, except SA, where an unrelated entity trades under that name.

Radio Rentals in South Australia calls itself “SA’s Biggest Retailer”. The company has 18 shop fronts and one clearance centre, and is not connected to Radio Rentals or Rentlo.

According to a company statement, Rentlo was a leading brand in South Australia for before closing in 2003 as part of a national rationalisation of RR Australia Pty Ltd (RRAL).

Thorn Australia Pty Ltd is the subsidiary of RRAL that trades as Radio Rentals and is now relaunching in SA with an official ribbon cutting ceremony by Mayor Martin Lindsell this Saturday May 10 at the new Rentlo showroom in the metropolitan suburb of Elizabeth.

“We are looking forward to becoming an integral part of the Adelaide community and providing it with a great range of rental solutions including our most popular product Rent Try Buy,” said Johns Hughes, Rentlo’s CEO.

“We are proud that we can support the Adelaide community with employment while offering a superior level of customer service.”

Rent, Try, Buy allows customers to purchase a brand new product for $1 after renting a similar product for a 36 month term.

Rentlo has opened a full service branch and showroom in Elizabeth and a distribution centre in Lonsdale that will be shortly joined by a nearby showroom.
