SYDNEY: Smeg’s latest oven and cooktop — the hand-built 120 cm CSA122X (RRP $10,990) — packs in two 60 cm wide independent multi-function ovens, six gas burners, a 1600 watt electric Teflon-coated griddle, pizza stone and full rotisserie.

There is also the option of a stainless steel teppanyaki plate or a ribbed cast iron griddle plate to go with it.

Each oven offers both fan-forced and static bake and grill modes, has triple glazed removable oven doors, independent cavity cooling fan, removable self-cleaning catalytic wall liners and forced air door cooling.

The left hand oven has fan assisted baking, rotisserie cooking and a defrost mode. The right hand oven features the pizza stone and it comes with a pizza paddle.

In addition, one oven can be fully programmed to start and stop cooking while the other has a minute minder.

The cooktop has six gas burners and trivets in cast iron and also a wok burner and elongated fish burner. The Teflon-coated griddle plate has a hinged element and stainless steel catchment for cleaning.

All burners are fitted with a super flame failure device that immediately shuts down the gas supply if the flame is accidentally extinguished.

Accessories for the CSA122X 120 cm upright cooker include stainless steel kick plate and splash back, a variety of 120 cm wide rangehoods, a Teppanyaki grill plate and cast iron open and ribbed griddles. This appliance is also hand-built in a satin stainless steel housing.

Available nationally from appliance specialists and electrical retailers, the CSA122X carries a two year in-home warranty on parts and labour.
