SYDNEY: VS Sassoon has recently won a number of beauty industry awards for its Total Freedom 230 Straightener and Premiere Series High Torque 2000 Hair Dryer.
VS Sassoon’s Total Freedom 230 Straightener has won the Beauty Oscars, known as the ‘Glosscars’. This award is run by the on-line beauty website Beauty Heaven and products are voted on by the readers.
The VS Sassoon Total Freedom 230 Straightener was awarded in the Best New Hair Styling Appliance category.
According to Beauty Heaven, the VS Sassoon Total Freedom 230 won because, “VS Sassoon has not only created a straightener with every feature a girl could wish for, (but) they’ve also done it at a great price.”
Last December the VS Sassoon Total Freedom 230 won the Diamond Compact Award in Cleo magazine’s Best Of Beauty Awards.
Now VS Sassoon has just announced another win, this time for the VS Sassoon Premiere Series High Torque 2000 Hair Dryer, in this month’s In Style magazine.
The dryer — part of the VS Sassoon Ultimates Collection — won the Best Inexpensive Hair Dryer category. The magazine said, “This dryer offers many of the same talked about technologies — tourmaline ceramic technology for soothing, three heat and two settings for faster, more gently drying — found in higher-priced versions at the fraction of the cost.”
Conair’s marketing manager, Peter Brewer, said the awards were particularly exciting because they are voted on by the readers of the magazines.
