SYDNEY: Following Monday’s announcement from Samsung that it had appointed ActronAir as its distributor for the specialist dealer channel in air conditioning, ActronAir today said it would start selling the product from mid-year.

Samsung previously announced that the appointment of ActronAir will enable it to access the specialist air conditioning market, which previously it had not penetrated.

Today the Australian-owned ActronAir, which was established in 1984 and manufactures its own Australian-made ducted air conditioners, said that Samsung’s wall hung models will be the first to be added to ActronAir’s product offering from mid-2008.

“ActronAir is always looking for ways to further extend its service and offerings to the industry,” said ActronAir managing director, Robert Mundy.

“We firmly believe that this distribution initiative will provide our customer base with access to products which are complementary to the ActronAir range, and all within the established framework of the ActronAir Customer Care culture,” he added.

ActronAir is responsible for the technical back-up, warranty and spare parts service of those Samsung products and said that one of its goals is to deliver the highest standards in customer service excellence within its markets.
