SYDNEY: Sharp Australia has announced a new three-year platinum sponsorship with the Australian Jockey Club (AJC) at Royal Randwick and Warwick Farm racecourses.

The sponsorship will see two Sharp signs (1 m x 1.9 m) on the racetrack, one of which will remain on the encompassing rail for the duration of the partnership. While details are yet to be finalised on dates and name, Sharp will also gain sponsorship rights to a race at the courses, and both signs will feature on either side of the finishing post for that race. In addition to the trackside signage, the Sharp sponsored race will also see branded saddlecloths on the competing horses and specially designed bibs in Sharp’s corporate colours on the strappers. Sharp has also been awarded the contract for all the AJC’s multi-function devices.

Sharp Australia deputy managing director, Denis Kerr, said there were many advantages to partnering with the AJC.

“We are looking forward to building a strong and mutually rewarding business relationship with the AJC. After months of extensive research into how the organisation should position itself to gain optimum exposure, the AJC, with over 400,000 people attending race meetings each year was deemed the best option.”
