SYDNEY: LG has offered a $21,000 around-the-world trip and free Viety phone to the winner of their new Viewty phone promotion, based around the phone’s 120fps slow-motion video capture ability.

The promotion will commence this Friday, when a team of LG staffers using Viewty phones will descend on a variety of night spots in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide to film people in pubs and clubs in slow motion. Those filmed can then go the phone’s website at www.whatisviewty.com.au and claim their identity to win. Alternatively, Viewty owners can shoot their own slow-motion film and enter a competition judged by the general public to win. Finally, the general public can enter by giving a reason why they should win.

All promotional teams will film on Friday night between five and eight o’clock, with the Sydney team prowling Kings Street Wharf and the Melbourne teams covering Flinders Street in the CBD, Swan Street, Richmond, and Fitzroy and Ackland Streets in St Kilda. Brisbane residents should head down to Margaret and Edward Streets, while Fortitude Valley party people will be filmed in Brunswick Street. Finally, in Adelaide, crews will circle Holdfast promenade in Glenelg and Rundle Street in the CBD.
