MELBOURNE: Teac Australia has launched its first new product for 2008, with the release of their new portable DVD Player, the DVP703.

The $199 player comes with a 7-inch TFT-LCD screen and can replay all DVD formats, as well as SVCD, VCD and normal CDs. JPEG, MP4 and Kodak Photo CD formats are also supported.

A coaxial output cable means viewers can also link the player to their home theatre equipment.

The player also comes with built-in Dolby Digital AC-3 decoder, speakers with two audio output channels and a stereo headphone jack.

Menus can be displayed in multiple languages and can zoom into screen areas if needs be. Screen ratios can also be switched.

A lithium battery provides a claimed two hours of viewing time, while extra power can come from the included AC/DC adaptor and an in-car charger.

Complete with a 12 month warranty, the Teac DVP703 is available now for RRP $199.
