SYDNEY: It was a great start to the 2008 Rugby League season for Radio Rentals as they watched the Parramatta Eels stage a slippery second half comeback to beat the Canterbury Bulldogs in their round one match — Radio Rentals is the Eels’ sleeve sponsor.

Radio Rentals signed a one-year sleeve sponsorship deal with the highly-fancied Parramatta team.

“We’re very pleased to welcome Radio Rentals onto the sleeve and to join our team of valued corporate partners,” said Parramatta CEO Denis Fitzgerald.

“They’re a prestigious company and a highly recognisable brand in the Australian marketplace and our management, coaching staff and players will be doing their utmost to ensure the partnership is mutually beneficial.”

Formed in 1937, Radio Rentals is Australia’s largest household appliance rental company, with 65 stores and over 400 employees.

“We are excited to sponsor the Parramatta Eels for the 2008 NRL season,” said Radio Rentals managing director, John Hughes

“Like the Eels, Radio Rentals also has a proud history with over 70 years as Australia’s leading rental company.

“One of our stores is in the heart of Parramatta’s retail precinct, so when the Eels opportunity presented itself, we were keen to be involved.”

Eels captain Nathan Cayless presented Hughes with his own 2008 playing jersey at last week’s season launch.
