SYDNEY: The five Small Kitchen Appliances finalists for the 2008 Electrical Retailing Awards have been announced today with last year’s winner, Sunbeam, again in the running.

This year the five finalists for Small Kitchen Appliances (excluding Personal Care, Floor Care and Heating products) in alphabetical order are:

Breville, Delonghi, Kambrook, Russell Hobbs and Sunbeam.

Last year Sunbeam won this award with the four other finalists being Breville, Delonghi, George Foreman and Kambrook.

The Electrical Retailing Awards (ERAs) are presented by Appliance Retailer magazine in conjunction with GfK Australia, which supplies all of the sales data to help determine the product award finalists.

The ERAs are the showcase of the industry with a nationally-representative judging panel of suppliers voting for retail awards and retailers voting for supplier awards.

There are supplier-voted awards for 17 different product categories: Audio, Communication, Computers, Cooking, Cooling, Dishwashers, Floorcare, Heating, Home Office, Home theatre, Imaging, Laundry, Microwave Ovens, Personal Care, Refrigeration, Small Kitchen Appliances and Visual.

In addition, there are retailer- and supplier-voted awards for the Best Retail Store, the Best Retail Organisation, the Best Supplier and the Best Product.

Tables for this year’s event are booking fast, with over 300 places booked already.

The ERAs will once again be held at the Sofitel Wentworth in Sydney on Friday 4 April 2008. To book tickets email Ana Melo e Azevedo at ana@intermedia.com.au or phone (02) 9660 2113.
