Heated rivalry between suppliers for new ERA recognition

By Martin Vedris

SYDNEY: The rivalry for the Best Heating Supplier award at the 2008 ERAs reflects the competition in the market, and this year is no different, with five top brands battling for the title of category leader.

Last year’s Best Heating Supplier winner, De’Longhi, is in the running for the category award at the ERAs this year. The top five brands are determined on the basis of their total sales value in the category, as reported by GfK.

The top five brands, listed alphabetically, are: De’Longhi, Dimplex, IXL, Kambrook and Sunbeam.

The winner of this award will be decided by a judging panel representing all major retail groups from all over Australia including Retravision, Betta Electrical, The Good Guys, Harvey Norman and NARTA members.

The ERAs will be held at the Sofitel Wentworth in Sydney on Friday 4 April 2008. To book tickets email Ana Melo e Azevedo at ana@intermedia.com.au or phone (02) 9660 2113.

Erratum: The original article stated gas heaters had been included in the judging criteria for the first time this year. This is not the case, and the article has been amended to reflect this. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
