SYDNEY: Blanco whitegoods, which are distributed by MEA, a division of Hagemeyer Brands Australia, will be using two very different events to spread the news on its product range — the 20th anniversary of DesignEX and the Fujitsu V8 Supercar series.

MEA has advised that Blanco will be exhibiting at DesignEX’s 20th anniversary in 2008. DesignEX is the leading exhibition in Australia for interior architecture and design. Blanco has created a new stand for the event and will be showing a new range of products. The show will run from 10 to 12 April at the Sydney COnvention and Exhibition Centre and the Blanco stand number will be 1050.

This year Blanco is also sponsoring the Fujitsu V8 supercar driven by Damian Assaillit in the 2008 Fujitsu V8 Supercar Series, which is a support series for the main event V8 Supercar Series.

The Fujitsu Series is decidedover seven-rounds and runs on the same weekend as the main V8 Supercar Series. This year it also includes an independent round at Wakefield Park outside Goulburn in NSW. The Fujitsu Series attracts around 40 competitors each race and winning the series has provided a number of drivers the opportunity to graduate to the main series.

The Blanco sponsored car will be driven by 18-year-old Assaillit from the Sunshine Coast. The youngest driver in the field, Assaillit has already completed his first year in the Fujitsu Series — he achieved some top 10 results and V8 Supercar veteran Jason Bright is his mentor.

At the Clipsal 500 event in Adelaide, Assaillit finished 18th in race one of the Fujitsu Series on Friday February 22 and then 12th in race two of the series on Saturday February 23.
