SYDNEY: Samsung Australia will launch a new consumer promotion tomorrow to support its mp3 players, offering consumers up to $40 cash back via redemption on a Visa gift card.
Called the Samsung ‘Street Cred’ promotion, the offer will run from tomorrow, 29 February, until April 30 and applies to all Samsung’s current range of mp3 players including the U3, K3, T10, S5 and P2.
The promotional period will cover the Easter break, school holidays and Anzac Day long weekend.
Customers have until 15 May to redeem their purchase online at www.samsung.com.au/promotions.
The Visa gift cards will range from $10 for the entry-level U3 player (RRP $69) up to $40 for the 8GB T10 (RRP $269) and flagship 8GB S5 (RRP $299).
Mid-range players will attract either $20 or $30 gift cards.
With the 1GB iPod Nano now priced at $69, Samsung’s equivalent player will effectively be $59 following the cashback, giving the Korean manufacturer a price advantage in the market.
Samsung will supply retailers with point of sale materials outlining terms and conditions.
