SYDNEY: Former Sunbeam marketing manager, Damian Court, will join International Cleaning Solutions, the owner of the Godfreys vacuum cleaner retail business, as a director starting at the end of the month.
Court will report to ICS managing director, John Hardy, and will work closely with the company’s new product development team to develop a range of competitive products for its global wholesale customers.
Hardy announced Court’s appointment in a letter addressed to all Godfreys team members.
“Damian was previously employed by Sunbeam as Marketing Manager and responsible for the successful launch of many products including the Sunbeam Café Series,” the letter said.
“Damian will join the company at the end of February 2008. This represents an important strategic investment in the business.
“David Beams will report to Damian and will focus on the development of our customer base through innovative product and service offerings.
“Colin Bareham, General Manager Valet, will continue to report to myself.
“Please join with me in welcoming Damian to the team.”
Hardy said Court’s appointment is part of a drive by ICS “to accelerate its growth through a number of key strategic initiatives, namely the development of Hoover as a leading brand in floorcare, the growth of our export business across new geographical markets and the consolidation of our market positions through Vacspare and Valet.”
