Panasonic Camcorder SDR sd9

Panasonic has released its third generation of high definition (HD) camcorders, with two new models – the HDC-SD9 and HDC-HS9 – which use the AVCHD format and capture images in 1920 x 1080pi resolution for vivid colours, intricate detail and exceptional clarity.
The HDC-SD9 is the world’s smallest and lightest 3CCD Full HD camcorder, recording on SD/SDHC Memory Cards to offer unmatched mobility. The HDC-HS9 is a hybrid model that records HD images onto either a SD/SDHC Memory Card or a built-in 60GB hard disk.

The new models can capture from 2 hours of 1920 x 1080p recording to 6hrs of 1440 x 1080i recording on a 16GB SD Memory Card; and 4 hours of 1920 x 1080p recording on the upcoming 32GB SD Memory Card.

The camcorders include new features designed to make it easier to capture mistakefree recordings, including ‘Face Detection’ and the ‘Intelligent Shooting Guide’. ‘Face Detection’ automatically locates any faces in the picture and adjusts the exposure, contrast and skin tone to achieve optimal results. The ‘Intelligent Shooting Guide’ detects shooting problems – such as panning too quickly, backlit subject or low lighting – and displays operating advice in the LCD so the user can correct the error before recording content.

The camcorders incorporate a 5.1-channel sound system with 5 microphones, and a convenient 10x optical zoom. In addition, Panasonic’s original 3CCD camera system, Advanced Optical Image Stabilisation and Leica Dicomar lens team up to provide outstanding images.
The combination of 1920 x 1080p recording, 5.1-channel surround sound and the new intuitive technologies of Face Detection and Intelligent Shooting Guide allows usersto produce high-quality video for an amazing home cinema experience in the living room.

With Panasonic’s optional DVD burner (VW-BN1E), users can copy or play back video recordings in the original AVCHD format to deliver the ultimate High Definition viewing experience on a large-screen TV.

HCD-SD9 – world’s smallest and lightest 3CCD HD camcorder
The HDC-SD9 weighs just 275 grams and measures 65 x 67 x 126mm (W x H x D). Because, unlike tape, SD Memory Cards require no transport mechanism with moving parts, the HDC-SD9 is highly resistant to external impact. This combines with its small size and weight to achieve unmatched mobility. The card can also be inserted in a 58-inch or 65-inch VIERA TViii for easy, instant playback of HD images.

HDC-HS9 – hybrid camcorder with up to 29 hours HD recording
The HDC-HS9 is a hybrid model that records Full HD images onto either an SD (or SDHC) Memory Card or the built-in 60GB hard disk. A 16GB SDHC Memory Card can hold around 6 hours of video, and the 60GB hard disk can hold around 23 hours (both in HE mode – 1440 x 1080i). This gives the HS9 a total capacity of around 29 hours of 1440 x 1080i HD recording.

In 1920 x 1080p/25fps a 16GB SDHC Memory Card can hold approximately 2 hours of video, and the 60GB hard disk can hold approximately 7.5 hours. This gives the HDC-HS9 a total capacity of approximately 9.5 hours of 1920 x 1080p recording.

The HS9 can copy recordedto produce high-quality video for an amazing home cinema experience in the living room.
