SYDNEY: Fisher & Paykel has announced their pop-up ceramic/gas Izona CookSurface cooker has been short listed for the 2008 Australian International Design Awards.
While the cooktop is not yet one sale, national marketing manager Peter Russell said the company was “thrilled” the cooktop had been nominated.
“Izona CookSurface represents an entirely new way of looking at gas cooking and its design and functionality fits well with all the judging criteria.”
He said the CookSurface’s combination of gas and ceramic technology helped delivered superior cooking results from gas.
The award will be judged innovation, visual and emotional appeal, functionality, quality and manufacture, ergonomics, environmental sustainability and presentation.
The final round of judging commences in March, with winners announced in May.
