Ilve squeeze 90 cm into 70 in its new Q Series ovens

SYDNEY: Italian cooking appliance manufacturer Ilve is launching a new range of ovens, cooktops and rangehoods for 2008, including the new Q Series built-in oven that squeezes a 90 cm oven capacity into a 70 cm oven cavity.

The Ilve Q series 70 cm built-in oven and matching cooktop and rangehood will be the first products of the new 2008 Ilve range to be released.

In addition to the extra oven volume, the oven has a range of cooking settings such as pizza, bread and pastry cooking functions as well as a rotisserie setting. The oven also has a new Turbowave Quickstart preheating function, which heats up the oven to 180¢ªC in eight minutes.

For aesthetics as well as reducing the amount of cleaning effort required, the Q series 70 cm oven includes a non-staining black vitreous enamel, a catalytic cook and clean interior, triple door glazing for safer and cooler door temperatures and a removable oven door and inner door glass.

The Q Series oven takes its design cues from the commercial market with the stainless steel finish and “commercial style” control panel and knobs. The range also includes a matching four burner gas cooktop with a large wok burner, and a slim-line 70 cm rangehood.

The prices are: RRP$3,263 for the 700WMP oven, RRP$1,899 for the H70SDVX cooktop and RRP$964 for the E75 rangehood.
