SYDNEY: Samsung has announced it will bundle a 22-inch LCD television with selected side-by-side fridges sold during March and April.
The promotion will begin from March 1 and run until April 30 this year, and customers will receive the television via online redemption.
Samsung also announced customers who purchase any vacuum cleaner over $300 would receive a K3 MP3 player, valued at $149 RRP, also via online redemption.
The cleaner promotion will run between March 1 and May 31.
Both campaigns will be supported with trade catalogue promotion and in-store displays.
Samsung Whitegoods marketing manager Nigel Cornford said the refrigerator promotion was to help cement their position as number one in side-by-side fridge sales, while the floorcare promotion would tie-in with their new, expanded ‘whisper quiet’ range.
“We’ve had one model in the marketplace, now we’re getting three models.
“Realistically, from a consumer’s point of view, they’re after two things. The first one being suction … the second area is noise and sound.”
Cornford claimed the new ‘whisper quiet’ range would run at 73 decibels, quiet enough, he said, to still enjoy TV while someone else was cleaning.
