TOKYO: Casio has released the world’s fastest frame rate digital camera, with up to 60 frames per second continuous shooting in still mode and 1,200 frames per second (fps) video recording capability.

The Exilim Pro EX-F1, which went on sale in Japan this week for AU$1,039, uses a six megapixel CMOS sensor with sensor-based vibration correction, and comes with a 12-times optical zoom lens.

Users can also view the super slow motion footage in real time as they shoot through the viewfinder.

In addition to its super slow motion 1,200 fps video mode, the Pro EX F1 can shoot in 1920 x 1080 high definition.

The camera can also shoot at seven frames per second in flash mode.
