ISTANBUL, TURKEY: Silverline, a Turkish manufacturer of major kitchen appliances, and already an OEM supplier to the Australian market, is seeking agents to distribute products under its brand name in the Oceania region.

“Silverline produces OEM products for famous worldwide brands in our domestic market,” Silverline international trade specialist, Celalettin Yildiz, told Current.com.au today.

Silverline’s products, including range hoods, built-in ovens and dishwashers, are already sold in the Australian market under established brand names, however the company wishes to see its own brand name in Australia.

“We provide OEM business for foreign customers as well and we are always open for import offers for both Silverline branded products and OEM for the Australia market.”

Yildiz, who is based at the Silverline company headquarters in Topkapi, a suburb of Istanbul in Turkey, revealed plans for his company to seek Australian agents this year.

“We do not have plans to create Silverline Australia for now. At the moment our immediate plan is to look for new agents to distribute and promote our products. However these new relationships should not harm our current customers and their marketing strategy and sales volume.”

“We will negotiate with potential companies in the first half of 2008. We expect these negotiations to turn into active business in the second half of the year.”

“We are a young and growing company with a business goal to create long term partnerships with customers. Silverline is looking for reliable companies in the Oceania region and our main aim is to be the best alternative to European brands, with the same level of quality and more competitive prices.

“In addition, we aim to provide our customers with a more profitable business. We believe that Silverline is the right match for the middle and middle-upper market segments with its wide canopy and cooking appliances range.”

Silverline has recently completed a new factory which is focused on rangehood production. This gives the company three manufacturing plants in total with over 400 staff. The company is also in the process of installing automated production lines.

“The company is investing heavily to ensure that existing facilities are brought up to date with a programme that will leave a greater degree of automation in the manufacturing process,” advised Yildiz.

“In order to increase productivity while decreasing unit costs, we will install robotic production lines, automatic dying facilities and a number of other modern facilities that should increase the company’s current overall competitiveness. Consequently we believe that our success will continue in Australia as well with new Silverline partners.”
