SYDNEY: The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has issued a national recall of the Australian Women’s Weekly Stovetop Chip Fryer, due to isolated incidences where the steel sidewall of the outer body split.

The fryer, manufactured by Chief Kitchenware Pty Ltd, was sold through The Warehouse, GoLo, Crazy Clark’s and Makro retail outlets between 10 September 2007 and 8 November 2007.

The affected product number is 9311106610033.

The ACCC advised consumers to discontinue using the fryer immediately and return to place of purchase for a full refund.
