SYDNEY: Sunbeam has launched a new television commercial to promote its Accura iron.
Part of the ‘protect your investment in fashion’ campaign, the advert features a young blonde woman in black underwear ironing a dress before she goes out.
The 30 second commercial will only air on pay television’s Arena and Lifestyle Channels, during fashion-related shows Project Runway, Sex & The City, Make Me A Supermodel and Trinny & Susannah Undress.
Sunbeam’s homecare category manager, Danielle McConnell, said the new commercial was “totally different” from anything they had done previously for the Accura iron.
“[It] has been developed with fashion in mind. The message is all about ‘looking after the look’ and that a good iron protects your investment in fashion.
“With its fashion related programmes, Pay TV is the perfect vehicle to air the commercial, which we believe will capture the attention of consumers and continue to drive sales of Accura and the entire Sunbeam iron range,” she said.
The Accura Digital Resilium sells for a recommended retail price of $139.00.
