SYDNEY: Canon Australia has initiated a cash back offer in the run up to Christmas, with up to $500 offered on certain products.

The company will give customers $100 cash back on their PIXMA MP830 and MP600R printers, while customers who buy an MP520, MP610, MP970 or MX700 will receive $50 cash back.

Canon will also offer $30 cashback for their MP470, MX300 and MX310 models and $20 cashback for the MP210 and MP220 printers.

All cash back claims must be received before January 31 2008 (5 pm EDST). Any of the listed products purchased after October 24 and before December 31 are eligible.

Canon will also offer up to $500 cash back on DSLR lenses and accessories until December 31.

The $500 cash back offer will cover the EF 24-105 mm f/4L IS USM lens, the EF 70-200 mm f/4L IS USM lens and the EF 100-400 mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM lens.

Customers who purchase an EF-S10-22 mm f/3.5-4.5 USM, EF 17-40 mm f/4L USM or EF 70-200 mm f/4L USM lens will receive $350 cash back, while customers who purchase an M80 Storage Device,  EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM lens or PIXMA Pro9500 printer will receive $300 cash back.

The short-focus EF-S60mm f/2.8 Macro USM lens will also be reduced by $200 after the cash back. The PIXMA Pro9000 printer will also receive a $200 effective price cut.

Customers who purchase an EF 55-200 mm f/4.5-5.6L II USM lens will receive  $125 cash back. 
 
The offer applies to any of the listed products purchased after November 1 this year. Claims have to be received by January 31 2008 (5 pm EDST).

Canon will also offer $50 cash back on their MD120 and DC210 video cameras. All sales of the two models above between November 1 this year and December 31 and claimed before February 29 2008 (5 pm EST) will count.

The company’s Selphy ES1 model also gives customers $100 cash back. The offer applies to all such models purchased between November 1 and December 31 this year with claims received by 29 January 2008 (5 pm EST).
