SYDNEY: Harvey Norman will open its first OFIS store at its home base of Auburn at the end of the fist quarter next year, according to OFIS general manager Paul English.

He said the Auburn store would open “a week to ten days” ahead of the second OFIS store under construction in Albury.

While the Auburn store would be freestanding (as would most of the stores to be built), the Albury store will sit in the same shopping centre as the town’s Harvey Norman, he said.

English said Harvey Norman planned to focus store construction on the eastern seaboard, with a particular focus on New South Wales. He said he hoped to have 10 stores by the end of 2008.
