LOS ANGELES: Breville’s US arm has launched a new website for the company’s 800 series benchtop kitchen appliances that allows users to examine the products’ development and place them in a customized kitchen.

The website, called Concept to Kitchen, is accessible through the main Breville USA website, and features short clips on each product’s development and allows visitors to place each appliance on a ‘virtual benchtop’ to imagine how it would look in their own kitchen.

James Robinson, brand director at HWI Electrical, distributor of Breville products in Australia, said he was unable to confirm if the website would come to Australia, but an examination of the site showed all video voiceovers were by an Australian female and all products featured were available in Australia.

Breville’s brand manager in the US, Rob Sheard, said the site was designed to let people test the products before purchase.

"Today, more people are turning to the internet to test drive top-of-the- line products before they bring them into their homes. Through consumer feedback, we discovered the question most often asked before purchasing an appliance is ‘What will that look like in my kitchen?’ We hope Concept to Kitchen will empower consumers to answer that question."
