SYDNEY: Panasonic Australia has appointed former Canon Australia senior general manager, Mark Deere-Jones, to run its marketing and sales operation for the commercial plasma and business projectors markets.
According to Panasonic, Deere-Jones will provide strategic management to the sales and marketing team across the two business units with a focus on key areas such as the fast-growing digital signage market.
“Mark is a highly experienced GM and sales leader. With his skills as a strategic thinker and action-oriented manager, he is a key appointment to group management,” said Panasonic director – business systems group, Ben Bowley.
Deere-Jones has over 25 years experience in sales and marketing management roles in Australia and the UK, spanning industries from FMCG to IT – most recently at Canon Australia, where he headed up the Business Imaging Solutions Group.
Prior to this he was director – business sales, at telecommunications company AAPT. His experience also includes senior roles in the Pay TV industry both locally and in Asia.
