Sunbeam chooses Lifestyle Channel to launch its ‘Summer Preparation’ TV campaign

SYDNEY: Sunbeam will begin its personal care advertising campaign on the Lifestyle Channel on November 18 to support the Emjoi BodyBare Ultimate AP98R and the Body ShimmerHome Tanning Kit HT6500 and $20 cash back promotion in the lead up to Christmas.

The 60 second ‘Summer Preparation’ commercial presents a fun, light-hearted scenario about a girl preparing to meet her internet romance face-to-face for the first time — impressing him with her silky smooth legs and perfect summer tan.

On air until December 16, the commercial will appear during popular programmes including What Not to Wear, What’s Good For You, Trinny & Susannah Undress, Super Nanny and Wife Swap.

According to Sunbeam marketing manager – personal care, Ann-Marie Weir, television advertising has always had a significant impact on Christmas sales for the personal care category.

“Both products are great gift ideas for Christmas, particularly with summer and the party season fast approaching, so we wanted to give retailers as much support as possible.

“The fun, entertaining and engaging commercial fits with the Lifestyle Channel’s target audience and is an excellent vehicle to showcase the products within a lifestyle setting.”

The commercial will also highlight the current $20 cash back offer available by redemption on the Body ShimmerHome Tanning Kit. The cash back offer commenced on November 1 and will run until December 31, 2007.
