SYDNEY: LG Electronics Australia today announced the launch of its new range of three stainless steel built-in gas cook-tops in four and five burner configurations with a one-piece hob design, electronic ignition and a safety gas cut-off.

“Australians are recognising the benefits of using gas in the home, it is a highly desired source of energy based on its ease of use, versatility and effectiveness,” said LG Electronics category manager, whitegoods, Glacel Lubrin.

“LG has responded to this demand with gas cooking solutions in three different sizes to suit the diverse needs of consumers,” she said.

Cooktops in LG’s new range have several features including a one piece hob for easy cleaning; heavy duty cast iron trivets for durability and safety; electronic ignition and a dual control or a side wok burner.

The range also has safety features such as LG’s Flame Failure Device which ceases the gas supply in seconds if the flame is extinguished.

Available in five burner and four burner capacities, LG Gas Cook-top’s are suitable for households using LPG or natural gas. The HG6412A four burner is RRP $749; the HG7512A five burner is RRP $999 and the HG9512A five burner is RRP $1,149.
