SYDNEY: Canon Australia has looked outside the box to strengthen its position in the market by appointing the highly experienced David Goldman as Group Product Marketing Manager for Printing in the company’s Consumer Imaging Products Group.
Goldman brings Canon a wealth of consumer marketing experience form some of the world’s leading companies including Coca-Cola, McDonald’s and George Western Foods.
According to a statement from Canon, Goldman was hired to lead on the consumer led insight marketing strategy and execution for Canon’s printer and IT peripheral products as well as consumables. He will also be involved in category and sales management, product planning, agency relations and specific consumer research projects.
“The position of Group Product Marketing Manager for Printing requires a focused and competitively-aware approach and David is well positioned to bring strong leadership and focus to this key role,” said Canon Australia’s Marketing Manager, Consumer Imaging Products Group, Suart Poignand.
“Canon is looking beyond the traditional sources for talent and is hiring people from a range of backgrounds to add diversity and new insights to the company. Given Canon’s continued growth, David’s experience will enable him to build on the momentum Canon has achieved in the Printing category,” Poignand added.
