SYDNEY: LG Electronics helped make ‘Life Good’ by donating one of its latest plasma televisions to the Merry Makers Gala Dinner and Concert held at the Sydney Entertainment Centre earlier this month.

Media personality Andrew Denton hosted the evening which included live performances by members of Merry Makers, aged between five and 65. The talented performers overcame various disabilities to create a show that captured the theme of love, hope and joy.

Merry Makers director, Janet Macfarlane, described the evening as, “A way of showcasing the remarkable achievements of these inspiring performers with disabilities.”

LG’s 42-inch plasma was raffled at the event, raising almost $14,000 for the group. The winner was one of the enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers who helped plan and stage the gala event.

“It gives us great pride to contribute to the empowerment of individuals with disabilities by supporting the Merry Makers,” said LG Electronics corporate communication executive, Liz Dani.

“The talent and energy displayed was truly inspirational and was a credit to all the performers and volunteers who made it happen.”
