SYDNEY: Today Samsung announced a new refrigerator range for Australia that comprises two new top mounted refrigerators and seven new side by side refrigerators that feature new interior designs with additional storage options.
The two top mounted models, the 244 litre SR244NME (RRP $649) and the 223 litre SR223NME (RRP $599) in a glossy white finish offer features such as Samsung’s Silver Nano Deodoriser, which removes odours within the fridge via a filter; deeper door bins; egg dispenser; larger fruit and vegetable bins; twist ice maker; multi flow cooling, and full body insulation.
“This refrigerator range builds on Samsung’s current leading refrigeration market position by providing consumers with an affordable product, with a genuine, feature-rich alternative to what’s now on offer,” said Samsung Electronics Australia’s senior product manager – kitchen appliances, Mike Lilly.
“With smarter interior construction, Samsung has developed a highly functional product range.”
Samsung’s new side-by-side refrigerator range offers 585 litres up to 626 litres capacity with stainless steel and glossy white finishes, ice and water dispensers and electronically controlled models. The prices range from RRP $2,199 to RRP $3,999.
The range has flat-door designs and hidden hinges and offer new features such as built-in wine racks, a removable serving tray shelf and a drinks hatch to provide easy access to chilled items without the need to open doors and waste energy and cold air.
The premium model has Samsung’s ‘Cool Select Zone’, which enables consumers to select and control the refrigerator’s temperature. Also, Samsung’s ‘Twin Cooling’ technology controls and generates cooling air for both the refrigerator and freezer separately allowing each compartment to retain food in optimal conditions.
“Samsung has secured number one position in the side-by-side refrigeration category which means we’re responsible for roughly three in every 10 side-by-side fridges sold.
