SYDNEY: Pebble Electronics, distributors of Conia and Hicon brands, has announced their latest LCD TV release, the Conia ‘Unico’ series, which is due to reach the market in October in two sizes — 26 inch (RRP $999) and 32 inch (RRP $1,199).

“As we’ve developed a great market presence in LCD TV, we now proudly announce our much anticipated Conia ‘Unico’ range of LCD TV’s,” said Pebble Electronics’ general manager Nicholas Fry, who also confirmed that his company ranked third in LCD TV market share in August.

“Our August sales result in LCD was sensational, as we achieved the number three market position, and the ‘Unico’ line up will further complement our product offer to the market, keeping in perfect tune with our philosophy of offering our retail partners a range of products delivering quality, features and profitability.

“The market stats show that we’re succeeding and there are many ecstatic consumers out there, enraptured with their new Conia TV.”

In unveiling the two new LCD products, which constitute the Conia Unico range, Fry explained how the Unico range is different to the existing 11 Conia LCD models.

“Unico is Italian for ‘Unique’, and perfectly describes these two new models — totally unique, with a real European flavour. The Unico range will initially consist of a 26 inch and 32 inch model with superb piano black finish, inbuilt digital tuner, HDMI input and superb European styling. As time passes, we’re looking to expand the Unico range to also include a 40 inch fully integrated model. This is the next significant step in our evolution as a market leader in flat panel TV.”

The Conia and Hicon LCD range has quickly captured a strong market penetration and according to Fry the brands recorded in excess of 13 per cent market share in units for August, making it the third biggest seller in the Australian market.

“The TV market is very robust and vibrant at the moment, showing growth on growth, month on month. We’re very fortunate to have been paramount to that growth, generating excellent sales across our CRT, Plasma and LCD range, with a total TV market share in excess of 10 per cent and we’re confident of a continued strong showing in the busy months ahead, with the Conia Unico range leading the way.”

The Conia Unico LCD range will consist of the CLCD2655SDP 26 inch model (RRP $999) and the CLCD3255SDP 32 inch model (RRP $1,199).

Pebble’s new range of Conia LCD TVs will be available through its traditional trading partners — The Good Guys, Harvey Norman, Dick Smith Electronics, JB Hi-Fi, Clive Peeters and selected Retravision and Betta stores.
