SYDNEY: Philips has launched its new flagship dry electric shaver range, called the Arcitec, which is the first shaver with the company’s new flexible head design.

The range will include three models –  RQ1050 (RRP $379), RQ1075 (RRP $469) and the RQ1095 (RRP $549), and will target the premium end of the market, such as corporate executives.

According to Philips, the Arcitec is the brand’s best dry electric shaver to date.

The Arcitec is also the first Philips shave to feature the new Flex & Pivot Action head, which is designed to fit more snugly to the contours of the neck, reaching typically hard-to-shave areas.

“At Philips we understand that getting a smooth all-over shave, even on the neck, is a common frustration for many men. We’ve developed the perfect solution by introducing Arcitec with a Flex & Pivot Action which performs as well on the neck and chin as it does on the face,” said Philips DAP senior manager – Australia & New Zealand, Peter Bosscher.

Other features of the range include Super Lift & Cut, which can cut the longest hairs and then the shortest stubble to shave close, and then closer still; Precision Tube Trimmer for effortless and precise trimming of moustache and sideburns; improved shaving time with a one hour charge delivering 21 days of shaving tim; and fully washable design to rinse clean in seconds.

Philips recently launched the HQ8000 and HS8000 shavers featuring a unique moisturizing head, which dispenses Nivea skin treatment while shaving.
