SYDNEY: Domayne today officially launched their new Kitchen Appliance Centre in Alexandria — the venue showcases 17 major kitchen appliance brands in over 13,000 square feet of kitchen displays.

The event was hosted by Rodney Orrock general manager of the Domayne stores, along with Gerry Harvey, owner, founder and chairman of Harvey Norman and Katie Page, CEO of Harvey Norman.

Two special guests were Donna Hay, author and celebrity chef and world-renowned chef Tetsuya Wakuda, owner of Tetsuya’s Restaurant. Wakuda is a convert to induction cooking and runs cooking classes to teach people how to get the most out of induction cooking.

While demonstrating to the VIP media guests how to stir milk into cheese, Hay invited Gerry Harvey to stir the pot while Katie Page gave a background into her passion for healthy produce and cooking, which ultimately led to this flagship kitchen appliance display centre.

“This is the largest kitchen display in Australia,” Orrock said.

“Here are some interesting statistics for our new kitchen appliance centre. It has over 13,000 square feet of space with 17 brands. There are over 170 ovens, over 150 cooktops, and more than 50 rangehoods.

“Customers are demanding more choice and a better understanding of the product … and we expect to get fantastic results.”

The appliance brands on display include: AEG, Ariston, Asko, Bosch, Miele, Electrolux, Fisher & Paykel, Ilve, LG, LaGermania, Liebherr, NEFF, Omega, Samsung, Smeg, Vintec and Westinghouse.

The Domayne Kitchen Appliance Centre is located at 84 O’Riordan Street in Alexandria in South Sydney.
