SYDNEY: Imation Australia has appointed Queensland based G and S Agencies as its sales company to represent the Imation, TDK and Memorex brands in Queensland locations.
G and S Agencies, a small private company specialising in electrical brands, currently handles brands such as Sharp, Delonghi and Kenwood Appliances in country locations throughout Australia and New Zealand.
“A market leader in media and hardware, we’re pleased to add Imation to our portfolio,” said Gil Elliott, the proprietor of G and S Agencies.
G and S have been operating since 1978 and are focusing on sales growth in electrical, computer and specialist retailing environments. They will service Imation’s business from the Sunshine coast, north to Cairns, Toowoomba west and selected accounts in Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
Imation’s advertising and product manager (hardware) in Australia, Bree McKenzie, said the appointment of the new agency was just one of many changes the company is implementing as a result of Imation’s recent acquisition of the TDK brand.
“Prior to this arrangement, TDK had employed two sales representatives in Queensland; one has been retained to cover the Brisbane metropolitan area, and the other has joined G and S Agencies and will continue to service the business,” McKenzie explained.
