SYDNEY: Haier Australia has announced the appointment of former Mitsubishi Electric managing director, Keith Allen, as its new chief executive officer replacing outgoing CEO, Karl Qin, who has left the company to attend “other business interests”.

Allen’s experience places him in a prime position to continue Haier’s upward growth, the company stated.

“Our parent company is committed to growing the Haier brand in Australia,” said Allen.

“With this level of support, combined with a comprehensive product range based on the platform of quality and innovation, I am confident we will further strengthen the company’s position in the Australian market.

“Haier has such a wide range of quality product including whitegoods, browngoods, air conditioning and other product groups that it provides us with some real opportunities for growth.”

Haier Australia expressed their thanks towards former CEO, Karl Qin, for his contribution to the business and wishes him all the best for his future endeavours.
