SYDNEY: Philips has announced the release of its new shaver line-up, with two new shavers set to hit the market including the entry-level HQ800 series and the revolutionary Moisturising Shaving System HS8000.
“We’ve spent a lot of time on designing the new Moisturising Shaving System and we think it has great potential, we’re very proud of it,” Philips DAP Australia brand manager, Roni Robertson, told Current.com.au.
The Moisturising Shaving System HS8000 Series is designed to provide users with a smooth and moisturised shave, and features the unique floating triple-head design, glide rings, Nivea For Men shave lotion dispensed through the shaver, individual pivoting heads, Super Life & Cut system, is 100 per cent water proof and comes with a two-year warranty.
The new range will be hitting the shelves with a view to making an impact in the vital Father’s Day shopping period.
“Dads will love the ease of use – the new Click&Go cartridge and refill bottle of Nivea For Men means no more moisturiser sachets are needed, simply pump the can into the refill port and the shaver is ready to use.
“Plus, the new design of the shaver heads means that swapping the blades is easier than ever – just take off the entire head and replace it with a brand new one,” Robertson said.
The new range will also target markets other than dads and young adults, with the HQ800 series aimed squarely at first-time shavers or those looking for a second or back-up shaver.
“The HQ800 is designed to attract younger users and those looking to purchase within the $0 – $49 market, were we’d like to improve our volume share,” Robertson said.
The HQ800 Series (RRP $39.95) is AA battery operated, provides 60 minutes shaving time, features individual floating heads and the Philips Lift & Cut system with the Reflex Action System.
The HS8000 Series features two shavers, the HS8020 (RRP $199) and the HS8060 (RRP $299), with the HS8060 featuring the refill and charge stand, travel bag, click-on trimmer, quick charge, 90 minute charge time, 40 minute shave time, three LED indicators and 75 ml Nivea For Men refill can.
