SYDNEY: Haier Australia, the domestic subsidiary of the Chinese whitegoods manufacturer, has ceased their Victorian distribution agreement with the JH Distribution Pty Ltd agency and will represent the brand themselves in Victoria.

Effective from Tuesday August 7, Sydney-based Haier Australia intends to appoint personnel from within the company to represent the brand in Victoria.

Greg Dwyer, Haier Australia national sales manager, wished David Maidment and Marina Benson at JH Distribution the best of luck in their future endeavours.

“David and Marina have been a vital part of the sales operation for a number of years and have been instrumental in establishing the Haier brand in Victoria and Tasmania,” Dwyer said.

Until the appointment by Haier Australia is finalised, all trade enquiries can be directed to Christine Leveille at Haier Australia Head Office in NSW on phone 0438 638 850. Orders can be made by phoning 1300 729 948 or by fax to 1300 729 961.

Formed in China in 1984, Haier products are reportedly sold worldwide in more than 30,000 outlets in 165 countries. As part of the company’s worldwide expansion, Haier Australia was founded in January 2005. The company is an official supplier of air conditioning and appliances for the Beijing Olympics.
