MELBOURNE: Despite a slow start to winter due to unseasonal warm weather, heating category sales finally warmed up for Dimplex who have now hired two new sales reps just in time for the company to focus on their cooling products for summer.

Dimplex is currently preparing for the cooling business and are commencing their round of retailer presentations so they can work on forward orders and stock management for the beginning of the summer season on September 1.

Matthew Brown and Matthew Ross have joined forces as the new Dimplex Victorian sales team.

Matthew Ross, formerly at Prima, joined Dimplex where he will manage predominantly the more independent retailers including Retravision, Clive Peeters and Origin energy.

Matthew Brown, formerly Bissell Floorcare, will mainly focus on the Harvey Norman and The Good Guys accounts. He was recruited to replace the late Wayne Hyde who sadly passed away two months ago.

Business continues to grow for the company in Victoria according to Garth Hickey, Dimplex national sales manager. “Dimplex has experienced phenomenal growth with its heating and cooling range in Victoria over the past three years.

“Now I am looking forward to working with the two Matthews in our new youthful team as they strive towards maintaining our market leadership in the electrical heating, fan and portable air conditioning markets.”

Last week the new Dimplex Victorian sales team joined the rest of the Australian sales force in Sydney at the Dimplex cooling sales conference held at the Hagemeyer headquarters in Kingsgrove.
